OUR STORY
Belair Baptist Church is a faith community based in Adamstown, Newcastle. We believe that God loves all people, and is inviting everyone to be transformed by embracing the good news of Jesus' death and resurrection. We gather on Sundays and throughout the week to serve, encourage and spur one another on to love and good deeds.

OUR PURPOSE & VISION
Our heart is to grow into a church that blesses and resources others beyond ourselves (what we call a Resourcing Church) while keeping a deep love for our local neighbourhood in Adamstown.
In a culture that often leans toward consumer spirituality, we're called to something deeper: shared discipleship, genuine community, and participation in God's mission together. We long to be a committed, life-on-life community that partners with God as He restores all things.

MEET OUR TEAM
Nic Cassar - Lead Pastor
Nic has been the Lead Pastor of Belair Baptist since October 2021. Known for his pioneering leadership gifts and his down-to-earth, approachable nature, Nic has a passion for seeing the church in Australia grow and mature in its representation of all people. Nic has studied music, theology, and teaching. He and his wife Jo have two beautiful children, Eden & Oscar.
A native Novacastrian, Nathan is known for his impressive administrative skills and life long service in Baptist churches. He is married to Lizelle and has been at Belair Baptist since Jan 2022. They are kept busy with their dog Chester, and daughter Layla!

Luke Reed - Worship Pastor
Our Worship Pastor Luke, along with his wife Monique and their children Taj, Zavier and Flynn, have been a part of the Belair Baptist Church family since early 2023.
Our Discipleship Coordinator Nick VS, along with his wife Stacey and their four children have been a part of the Belair Baptist church family since 2022.
Nick currently also oversees Youth Ministry.

Sam joined the Belair team in 2026 as part of our preparation to plant a new church in the Hunter region in the near future. Sam is married to Sarah and has a background in Missions and Sport Chaplaincy.
